Hello and thank you for visiting!  When my daughter was three, she and I actually agreed on what color to paint her room.  Yellow stripes with pink flowers.  Unfortunately, I soon realized we would put our house up for sale and I wasn't too sure the potential buyers would see just how beautiful yellow stripes with little pink flowers could be, so we left the walls their neutral pale color.

                               
    I tried to be patient but no such luck.  I still couldn't forget those stripes and
    flowers, so I came up with a plan; hand paint a 16 x 20 wrap around canvas with
    (no big surprise) yellow stripes and pink tulips, tied with a pink ribbon.  Perfect!
    We could even take it with us when we moved!
    Of course, now my son needed a picture for his room as well.  I was hooked.  I
    loved creating and painting these bright and cheery personalized pictures for
    my kids so much that I knew I didn't want to stop.  I continue to paint through
    my Wallflowers website and also manage to paint a few other extra items here
    and there, just for fun.

Favorites:  Some of my favorite things include traveling, reading books and magazines and working in the yard.   I've Discovered a quiet contentment when I look outside and notice both of my kids are ankle-deep in sand, peacefully building castles in their sandbox without a care in the world.  Those are the moments that bring me back to the carefree days of childhood.  It's a feeling we never forget, no matter how much time goes by.  This is the same feeling I try to capture and express when I'm painting in my studio.
